Junior (under 20) Ice Hockey World Championship started on December 26th. Slovakia is in the same group as Canada, USA, Sweden, and Germany. Slovak’s opening game was on the second day of the tournament, vs. Team Germany, which they lost 4:2. Of course Germans were a surprise to everyone from the start, when they beat USA a day before. Today Slovaks played home team Sweden. Both teams played equally well, and entered third period with 3:3 on a scoreboard, however three consecutive goals by Swedes in the beginning of the third period placed them into a good position to win, and they did. So, Slovakia lost two out of two, and they should’ve won over Germany. Now it will be much harder for them, because ahead only USA, which is coming in after 2 days rest, and then Canada, which so far has been impressive.

There isn’t many e-books in Slovak on the web, and usually what’s out there is translations of foreign sci-fi or tech books, so its nice to see this kind of quality project online.
